Abstract:

Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) , based on the philosophic idea of “correlation between manFor thousands of years, TCM has made indelible contribution to the reproduction and prosperity of theIt is strongly suggested that five promotion projects, namely TCM policy and statute guarantee, TCM qualifiedpersonnel cultivation, TCM scientific research, development of TCM in rural areas and TCM administrativesystem reform, should be carried out in real earnest to make TCM develop in a sustainable way.

Abstract: virus (HBV) are integrated into the life cycle of HBV replication, and the potential significance of serumThe production of HBV RNA virion-like particles should not be blocked by NA; in this regard, serum HBVTherefore, the concept of virological response is redefined as persistent loss of serum HBV DNA and HBVTherefore, the loss of serum HBV RNA would likely be a promising predicator for safe drug discontinuationThe clinical status of consistent loss of serum HBV RNA accompanied with low serum HBsAg levels might

TCM Views and Treatment on AIDS

Wang Wenkui

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 1,   Pages 44-47

Abstract:

Serious dysfunction of cell-mediated immune is the internal cause of AIDS infection, and the virus is the external cause. The external cause will work only by means of the dysfunction of cell-mediated immune. As all the conditions on which normal cell depends are created by the viscera (zang and fu) function, proper measures can be adopted to adjust the viscera function comprehensively, so the physical materials can be produced, then the essence and sprit emerged. Only with supporting from physical materials, essence and sprit, can the cell-mediated immune function be kept well to conquer and destroy the different kinds of virus, hence keeping physical and psychological well-being, strengthening the human immunity. So that the normal physiological activity can be maintained.

Effect of renal function and hemodialysis on the serum tumor markers in patients with chronic kidney

Abstract: with chronic renal failure, whether they have had hemodialysis or not, the specificity of some of the serumThe effects of renal function and hemodialysis were examined on serum levels of some of the tumor markersThere were no significant differences among the three groups in the serum concentrations of CA, AFP,of the corresponding tumors was decreased while serum AFP, CA, CA, PSA and fPSA were as valuable asHemodialysis further increased the serum level of CA and NSE.

Strategic Study of CAE 2006, Volume 8, Issue 4,   Pages 1-11

Abstract:

Although the TCM has developed a profound theory system and a fame of outstanding advantage in curativeeffect, it seems that the TCM is not quite adaptable to the development and requirement of the modem

A principle of “Adopting the advanced part of Western medicine to serve the TCM”First, TCM should strive for a consensus of TCM theory which focuses on the guiding principles of &ldquoBasides, TCM dose type should be ameliorated in order to meet the needs of society.

Direct acting antiviral-induced dynamic reduction of serum

Tung Huynh, Ke-Qin Hu

Frontiers of Medicine 2019, Volume 13, Issue 6,   Pages 658-666 doi: 10.1007/s11684-019-0707-7

Abstract: Direct acting antiviral (DAA) treatments may reduce the elevated α fetoprotein (AFP), but data on how these treatments affect elevated AFP in patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) remain insufficient. In the present study, the frequency of baseline AFP elevations and their related factors, AFP dynamics during and after DAA treatment, and factors associated with AFP reduction was assessed. This retrospective study included 141 patients with CHC without hepatocellular carcinoma who received DAA and achieved sustained virological response. The details are as follows: mean post-treatment follow-up was 99 weeks (12–213); mean age, 57.8 years old; 52%, males; 79%, genotype (GT) 1; and 47%, cirrhosis. Pre-treatment AFP elevation (>5.5 ng/mL) was seen in 48.2% patients. On multivariate analysis, baseline AFP>5.5 was associated with the presence of cirrhosis ( =0.001), co-existing non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) ( = 0.035), and GT 1 ( = 0.029). AFP normalization was seen in 28.2% patients at treatment week 2, in 52% at the end of treatment, and in 73.4% at the end of follow-up. Post-treatment week 24 AFP normalization was associated with the absence of cirrhosis ( = 0.003), Child–Pugh score<6 ( = 0.015), and baseline AFP<10 ( = 0.015). AFP elevation is common in patients with CHC and independently associated with NASH, cirrhosis, and GT 1. DAA treatment resulted in AFP normalization as early as treatment week 2. Post-treatment week 24 AFP normalization is independently associated with the absence of cirrhosis, Child–Pugh score<6, and baseline AFP<10.

Abstract: We assessed the secular trends in the serum lipid levels in Shanghai residents from 1973 to 1999.from four independent, cross-sectional, population-based surveys were used to analyze the trends in serumSerum lipid levels were measured in a single laboratory throughout the entire study period.A non-significant increase was noted from 1973–1974 to 1982–1983 in the serum lipid profiles; howeverSimilar trends were observed in the mean serum triglyceride (TG) and the mean serum low-density lipoprotein
